  1. What a Prompt Actually Does. A prompt is not a search query; it is a description of a task plus the context the model needs to do it, and vague input produces average output.
  2. The Five Parts of a Strong Prompt. Most good prompts contain a role, a task, context, a format, and constraints, and you can check any prompt against those five slots in seconds.
  3. Show, Don't Just Tell: Examples in Prompts. Giving the model one to three examples of the output you want teaches style and structure faster than any amount of describing it.
  4. Iterating Instead of Restarting. Treat the first response as a draft to steer, not a verdict on the prompt, and give feedback that names the specific change you want.
