The short version, and the long one

Joining. $9, billed by Stripe. Monthly by default: it renews every month until you cancel from your account, and each paid month adds one course credit. One-time: it buys 30 days of access and one course credit, and does not renew. Either way you get every public course while your access lasts, and we guarantee at least 10 new public courses per calendar month. When access ends you keep any course you built and your progress, points, badges, and certificates.

Course credits and builds. A credit builds one course on a topic you choose. Credits do not expire and are not refundable for cash. Extra builds beyond your credits are $10 each. A course you build joins the shared library and may be shown to any visitor, including in the weekly free set, unless you choose "keep it private" at build time (a $20 add-on) or make it private later ($20). If a build cannot be completed, the credit is returned or the payment refunded in full; delivered builds are otherwise non-refundable.

Content. Courses are generated by a language model and may contain errors. WholeTopic provides them for general educational use and makes no warranty about accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose. Do not rely on a course for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions without independent verification.

Points, badges, certificates, leaderboard. Points and badges are awarded automatically for progress and have no cash value; we may adjust the rules and correct totals affected by errors or abuse. A certificate records that you completed every part of a course on WholeTopic; it is not an accreditation or a qualification, and anyone with its link can view it. The leaderboard shows only people who opted in, by nickname; you can opt out at any time. Nicknames must not impersonate others or contain offensive content, and we may change or remove them.

Acceptable use. Do not request topics that are unlawful, harmful, or that infringe someone else's rights, and do not automate progress to farm points. We may refuse or remove such courses and may close accounts that abuse the service.

Your account. Sign-in is by email link. Keep your email account secure; anyone with access to it can sign in as you.

Changes. We may change prices and these terms; changes apply to future billing periods and we will announce them by email.
