What we keep, and why

What we store. Your email address, an optional nickname, the courses you add and build, your progress in them, the points and badges that progress earns, any certificates you complete, and your purchase history. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number.

What other people can see. Your nickname on any certificate you share (the certificate page is public to anyone with its link) and, only if you opt in from your account, your nickname, points, and streak on the leaderboard. Your email is never shown to other users.

What we send. Sign-in links and a notice when a course you built is ready. No marketing email unless you opt in.

Topics you build. The topic text is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate the course. A public build's title and content are visible to other visitors; a private build's are not. Topics are not linked to your email anywhere visible to other users.

Analytics. Privacy-friendly page analytics (Vercel Web Analytics), no cross-site tracking, no advertising cookies. One cookie keeps you signed in.

Deleting your data. Email hello@wholetopic.com and we will delete your account and its data. Public courses you built stay in the library unless you ask us to remove them.
